RTRDA joined hands with Tongji University and organized an event featuring lectures on Appropriate Rail System Technology to develop the country's rail system.
Rail Technology Research and Development Agency (Public Organization), known as RTRDA, under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chotchai Charoenngam, Chairman of the Board of Directors, organized an event in collaboration with Tongji University from Shanghai, China. The focus of the event was to deliver lectures on appropriate rail system technology to advance the country's railway infrastructure. Dr. Piang-or Laohavilai, a Committee Member, graced the occasion alongside Dr. Kanrawee Thongpull, Vice President and Acting President of the RTRDA office. The event, held at the Grand Meeting Room of the ibis Bangkok Riverside Hotel, aimed to introduce the objectives and mandates outlined by the Ministry of Transport. Additionally,

1. Challenges and Opportunities of Thai Railway System by Mr. Teerawat Potikul, Director of Research and Innovation Development Department, RTRDA.
2. Innovation as the Important Foundation of China's High-Speed Railway System by Prof. Sun Zhang, President of Science and Technology Expert Association, Tongji University.
3. Technical characteristics of high-speed railway track system in China by Prof. Luo Yanyun, Professor of Science and Technology Expert Association, Tongji University)
4. Important functions and technology of the traction power supply system of high-speed trains by Prof. Zhang Mingrui, Professor of School of Electronics and Information Engineering, Tongji University.
The purpose of hosting this event is to disseminate knowledge on the advancement of rail system technology and high-speed rail technology to railway personnel in Thailand. It will serve as a guiding framework for augmenting the expertise of the railway system workforce, thereby catalyzing the progress of the nation's future rail technology.
